Can we play music in our shows?
Yes. My Live School is licenced to remove restrictions and extend use to include broadcast/webcast. As long as the music was purchased and has not been modified, you can use it in your radio show. Good news if you want to play a few top 40 hits old and new!
Note: Some musical producers prohibit the use of copyright extensions. For example, A small independent producer making backing tracks for school plays might insist that the licence to broadcast/webcast their work is purchased separately at the point of sale.
If you're not sure or need more help, send My Live School a quick message, and we'll look into it for you.
How do you safeguard young broadcasters?
We regularly consult the schools and organisations using My Live School to help innovate solutions that allow us to maintain a safe learning environment. Some of our core approaches to content regulation include;
- Account applications are verified by hand to ensure a high standard of existing safeguarding practice before approval.
- Each account is given a super admin. The super admin ensures the content they make available for public consumption is child-friendly.
- 24/7, 365 audio logs allow us to investigate thoroughly and concerns raised.
